We hope you are enjoying this time of cozying up, reading that extra good book, and staying warm by a fire. The light is increasing. I noticed this morning how much more vibrant the light is as the Spring equinox is only 5 weeks away!
In the meantime, there’s a lot new in the store to brighten your days!
© Remember the delicious scent of new linen? Well, we’ve been reminded because the new Flax is here and oh, how we love it! In sea greens, sky blues, earthy creams, warm golds and even a couple of stripes, this year’s Flax promises a variety of styles and color combinations to fit your needs. Perfect for southern travel, and spring preparation, Flax is the ultimate in comfortable, earth-friendly clothing!!
© We learned that tunics and leggings will continue to be popular this year, so we have a fun selection of super-soft, beautifully made cotton blend coordinates in pale green, delicate blue, taupe and black. The tops drape beautifully, complimenting the snug bottoms.
© Lots of great tees, our perennial favorites in fresh colors from Cut Loose, Habitat and Prairie Cotton, plus attractive new styles and fabrics too!
© Bright pink, deep purple, and muted evergreen ribbed cotton separates. There are 3 styles of tops, the long slimming vest you see here onMichelle, plus a fun skirt with an asymmetrical flair.
© Colorful Focus spring jackets in waffle weave, and ribbed cotton.
© Light and medium weight sweaters in cotton and blends with fun buttons, woven patterns, and flattering styles both casual and dressy. Our two Michelles are modeling two of our favorites, a multi-buttoned lovely one, and a delicate pink tunic length with pockets.
© By the way, if your skin is feeling dry in this season of wind and dry heat, we have tons of lotions with wonderful ingredients ready to nourish the dryness away. The heated body wraps are soothing to tight muscles, and the booties can be combined with lotions for an at home spa treatment to get your feet and heels ready for sandals. Yes, sandals! It’s winter now, but Spring indeed is on its way!
© We have a new altar area set up in the cardroom of the store. If you’re curious, we’d love to show you the elements that can turn any area of your home, be it a dresser top, window sill, or even refrigerator top, into a reminder of exactly what you most want to connect with or manifest right now. Our first altar is devoted to Ganesh, the Remover of Obstacles. Now I think that sounds like just the right kind of helpful energy to have around! Come see and tell us what you think.
Speaking of what you think, we’d love your feedback, whatever it is, about our newsletters. Please reply and let us know how they are serving you, or not, and any input you have. Thank you so much!!
For the book selection this time, I want to share a new favorite by Deepak Chopra called Life After Death: the Burden of Proof. Death is called the great teacher because it’s a reminder to us to connect fully with life. And if someone you love is facing a challenging health condition, or has died, this book plus others in our store, can be a source of great support. Here are some gems from the back cover of Depak’s book, “What happens to the spirit after the body dies? In Life After Death, Deepak Chopra draws on cutting-edge scientific discoveries and the great wisdom traditions to provide a map of the afterlife. He tells us there is abundant evidence that “the world beyond” is not separated from this world by an impassable wall; in fact, a single reality embraces all worlds, all times and places.” “A must read for everyone who will die,” suggests Candace Pert. And Marianne Williamson says about this book, “If I had any doubts about the afterlife, I don’t have them any more.” This is a book that’s easy to follow, packed with intriguing stores, including some from Deepak’s childhood in India, a sweet book about a topic we don’t tend to talk about much. Our book section is full of nourishment and support if you need it.
